Processing personal data is an essential part of all business activities and a key issue for public administration. For example, it is no longer acceptable to use real data, even if it is out of date, for testing.

The Data Masking Tool can analyse data in company databases and inform the user of all places where personal and sensitive data are being stored. The results of the analysis are then used to decide what data will be masked.
A control application provides the setup for the masking method and the option to permit reconstruction (unmasking) of the masked data with the help of an encryption key.
The system supports all-important domain entities such as personal identification number, e-mail, phone number, IMEI, IMSI, IP address as well as generic text and numbers. If you need to mask an entity
that is not yet supported, it is very easy to add it thanks to the modular architecture of the tool. Masking brings new possibilities for the use of data containing sensitive information in compliance with the GDPR, while at the same time reducing the risk of data leakage and misuse.
The output of the masking process can be stored as a CSV file or written back to the relational database. The Masking Tool is fully supported in both English and Czech languages and environments.
